Research Notes:
According to the OPR, the banns were proclaimed in Montrose and Craig.
According to the censuses, this Jean Mather was born in Brechin.
My assumption is that she was living in Montrose when she married David Anderson.
However, there was a Jean Mather born in Montrose in 1810 and she might be the one who married a David Anderson in 1833.
But I believe the censuses.
Relativity:
• Proof Link: Daughter's marriage.
• Branch: Cargill.
Jean married David Anderson, son of John Anderson and Margaret Mearns, on 9 Feb 1833 in Craig, Angus. (David Anderson was born calculated 1810 in Craig, Angus and died on 13 May 1883 in Craig, Angus.)
